Day 9 of Self-Reflection: Being Aware of Our Needs

What an exhilarating feeling to know the only thing holding me back is me. Wait, that means I must stop blaming people places, and circumstances for the reason why I am not where I want to be. That is okay because I also do not have to give people, places, and circumstances credit when I do well.

But, that can be a lonely place to be thinking I am alone in this world trying to make sense of it all. Aaahhh!!! It is all confusing. Balance is the key. We proceed in community with an appropriate amount of responsibility for our success and mistakes. When we lean too far in either direction, I am all alone and my decisions affect only me or I am beholden to the world and must invite everyone to help me live, we do not live our lives. We fall out of step with ourselves and our true nature. We stand in our own way.

Take some time to think about a recent major decision you made. Where did you have a hard time or found yourself feeling challenged? What do you think you needed to make that easier? This is a question only you can answer. The trick to this is if you are not aware of what you are needing you cannot communicate this to others and they are unable to help.
